Wildlife friendly gardens are becoming more and more popular. Not only do they provide a tremendous amount of beauty, but attracting beneficial wildlife, such as frogs and various bird species, can actually help your vegetable garden.

Even if you built a small wildlife friendly garden, in my opinion, it would still serve you better than a well manicured lawn. Watching the various species of wildlife that your wildlife garden will attract can be an awesome experience with the kids. A wildlife garden is like having your own science class in your backyard. An experience the kids may not receive in the classroom. Just another reason why you are seeing so many schools having school gardens of this sort.
