              • Lay flat with no memory
              • Lead-free
              Cons
              • Too bouncy
              • Take time to pull out and put away

So, I have had this hose for more than a year. I’m ready to update my experience with it. This hose is an awesome tool for my garden’s sake.

A lot of comments say the hose kinks all the time while the others are pretty much in love with it. In my opinion, this is not a hose for lazy people. If you just want a garden hose on the reel to yank out whenever you need it, this thing may not fit you.

The reason is in the cover, it’s made to be durable with an abrasion-resistant outer layer. So, it takes you a bit of time to pull out and put away. But this hose promises you a lifetime.

I’m not encouraging you to abuse the hose as much as you can. But if you forget it in the winter when the temperature drops, this hose is going to live with that freeze instead of cracking itself all to crap.

After a year and three months, I haven’t seen any deterioration in the hose whatsoever. Adding to that is a lot of elasticity. It stretches when you put on a hose reel.

But don't quickly assume that it is poor in quality.

This 100' garden hose is still abrasion-resistant excellently and all-weather flexible.

Another favorite feature of ours is the ergonomic handle - which is moveable and comes with a good grip so that you can rotate it to any direction with no fears of twists or kinks.

              • A lot lighter in weight
              • Safe for drinking
              Cons
              • Hold dirt
              • A bit stiff to maneuver

This Zero-G is probably the oldest hose in my collection. So, I’m pretty sure I know how it’s going to serve.

It may not be handsome on the budget side, but the quality of the ends and hose itself will convince you. Those couplings guarantee that the hose will not leak. It’s got a nice texture at each end, making it easier to tighten.

This hose also folds up neatly for storage. And because it’s lightweight, you can carry around without getting fatigued too fast.

It’s a 5/8-inch hose, which is an ideal size for high water pressure. With the capacity of 600+ PSI, I believe so, this thing busts water out like a jet. And the hose remains that high flow constantly.

After 2 and a half years using this hose, I noticed no puncture though I used it mostly for my job site where wood chips and nails are around.

And if your dogs enjoy the bath outdoor, you can shower them and allow them to drink the water. It’s safe to drink from this hose.

              Water Pressure

              600+ PSI

              Highlight Features

Tru-Flex Inner Core prevents kink. Patented crush-proof couplings. Lead-free safe for drinking

              Verdict

You need a hose that lasts and jets water for your job site? I can say this one is the best.

Best For Heavy Duty: Briggs and Stratton Premium Heavy-Duty Rubber Garden Hose

              Cons
              • Black residue
              • Heavy

It was my friend Gary, who introduced this hose for me. And because he has more than 20 years of experience in this hose thing, I trusted him.

If you know Briggs and Stratton, they make all kinds of garden stuff, including this hose. So, they just have sufficient technology to make this hose a winner.

It’s got an industrial reinforcement in the design and core to handle high burst strength.

The couplings are also of heavy-duty standard. They resist crushing better than any couplings I know. For years, I haven’t seen any rust or corrosion.

Briggs and Stratton also makes this hose a survivor in extreme weather. It can be used in hot water and put under minus degrees without wearing much in years.

              Highlight Features

Heavy-duty couplings made to resist crush. Watertight connections. Survive extreme weather conditions

              Verdict

It’s ok to use this hose for residential, but the hose is a true industrial-grade one.

How To Choose The Best 100 Ft Garden Hose?

After years of using hoses of all kinds, I have found many factors that affect my buying decision for this particular equipment. Generally speaking, you need to pay attention to a few major criteria.

              Hose Diameter

Most garden hoses on the market are available in ¾, 5/8, and ½ inch. And you should know that this is the diameter measured on the inside, not the outside.

The bigger the diameter, the more water the hose can emit. But in practice, the most useful size that combines all the benefits from water pressure to the flow rate is 5/8 inch. Hoses of ½ inch are more compatible with light-duty tasks.

              Portability

If you know the pain of carrying the hose from your garage to the yard, you definitely don’t want a bulky hose that will tangle your feet. Even if you set the hose on a reel, coiling a heavy hose will get you fatigued before you actually use it.

That said, you should get a hose that doesn’t wear you down when carrying it. An expandable hose would be ideal for moving around.

              Durability

Yes, you want the hose to live as long as you do, but if it’s too unlikely, you can expect it to last for more than 5 years.

It is the material to consider here. According to my experience, hybrid material is the most durable kind among latex, plastic, vinyl, even rubber. It has the property of elasticity as well as longevity.

However, hoses made from this kind of material tend to be more costly.

Which Brands Make The Best 100 Ft Garden Hose?

              GrowGreen Brands

Not only that, but GrowGreen is also a big name for gardening tools that provide solutions for more effective watering. GrowGreen only focuses on producing the most reliable hoses to be the best brand of watering supplies.

              Briggs and Stratton

Products from Briggs and Stratton are usually marked as life-changing because they all come with technology and hearts. The brand has introduced so far extensive collections of power tools and equipment for the garden. If you own an arsenal of products from Briggs and Stratton, it’s reasonable to go with the hose because it’s compatible with all ends.

              FAQs

Are rubber garden hoses the best?

It’s a little bias to say rubber hoses are the best. However, they are among the strongest and most durable materials. But they also carry heavy price tags and weight. That means you are going to pay a bunch and get ready to burden yourself across the garden.

              Are expandable hoses worth it?

Expandable hoses bear a number of benefits that you will like, such as kink and twist-resistant, self-shrinking, lightweight, and easy to store. All of those sound like they are the best hoses you can buy.

But anything has its downsides, with the self-shrinking mechanism, the hoses tend to squeeze down the size when the water pressure is low. So, don’t be surprised if you find your expandable hose gets shorter while you are rinsing your driveway.

That said, worth it or not? You will decide once you use it.

For me, an expandable hose is a worthy investment at some points.

Can hose use a 100 ft hose on a pressure washer?

The answer is yes. But you need to get ready to face some issues. Particularly, a longer hose will be filled with more water, which adds to its weight. So, adding feet thus adds more bulk to the hose. Also, the longer the hose is, the less pressure of water is at the end of the nozzle.

But it’s not that bad for a 100-foot long hose in reality. Per square inches, it only loses 5 pounds of pressure for every 100 feet. This is not a significant number you need to be aware of.

So, if you are in the middle of a 25 and 100-foot hose, stop thinking, get the longer one.

What is the best way to store a garden hose?

Here I suggest three ways to store a garden hose properly at home:

              • Use a galvanized tub: It’s cheap and easy to find. You can drill holes at the bottom to drain water out
              • Hose bowl: A lidded hose bowl is a worthy housing for your hose. It keeps the hose off the environmental damage. It’s also a good storage choice for winter
              • Reel: Nothing is better than a reel for hose

How long will the metal garden hose last?

A metal hose seems to promise a very long-term commitment because they don’t kink, corrode, or become rust. I haven’t lived long enough to say, but I know many metal hoses made from 201 or 304 stainless steel can last for a lifetime.

              Conclusion

You should have an idea now about how to buy the best 100 ft garden hose.

Remember, always keep your requirements in mind so that you can choose the right products. If you have any questions, I am right here.
