Most home vegetable gardeners avoid harmful pesticides or anything synthetic for their plants. Which makes sense since you will be feeding this food to your own family. Who wants to ingest these items and take a chance for the potential health affects they may have.

With that said, you will have problems with insects and disease in your home vegetable garden. It is unavoidable. Seasons change, the weather changes and there a whole slew of other factors that go into why things happen.
